Davis Street and Waste Management of Alameda County are active community partners. In addition to charitable giving, our employees participate in Leadership San Leandro, the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, the Airport Area Business Association and other organizations.
Our goal is to help the communities we serve achieve their sustainability goals. Highlights of our endeavors include:
- Annual Earth Day Event fun-filled day of public tours, recycling activities and more
- Facility Tours & Ongoing Education elected officials, national & international dignitaries
- Neighborhood and Community Clean-ups staffed by employee volunteers
- Open Space Initiatives working with East Bay Regional Parks Department
- Community Presentations from pre-schools to senior centers
