Single stream recycling has become very popular with the cities that we serve, and it allows consumers a simple and easy way to recycling more by taking the need for separate bins out of the equation. Residents simple place all of their recyclables into one container.
This $9 million resource uses technology and manpower to process recyclable materials from households all over the Bay Area. The new facility also helps us to recover and divert 350 tons of material every day from local landfills.
Waste Management has a history of leadership in the recycling industry. The launch of our new Single Stream Materials Recovery Facility exemplifies our commitment to recycling and diversion through our innovative ideas, leading-edge technology, and advanced systems.
